About Ken & Emily

Ken and Emily Hendrickson’s story begins in Utah, where they were both raised in small towns. Ken was born in Provo and grew up in Salina, attending North Sevier High School until age 16, when his family moved to St. George. He completed high school at Pine View and Dixie High. Emily grew up in the tiny town of Cedar Fort before moving with her family to the “big city” of Saratoga Springs, where she attended and graduated from Lehi High School.

After high school, Ken served a two-year mission to Ireland for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Emily moved to St. George to attend Dixie State University, earning two associate degrees. When Ken returned from his mission, he attended Dixie State University, where Emily met Ken, who was also pursuing his education. They were married in 2004 and have since built a beautiful life together in St. George, raising their four wonderful children.

Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in business, and together, Ken and Emily co-founded Easy Storage Solutions, a software company they successfully operated until its sale in 2020. Beyond their professional accomplishments, the Hendricksons share a love for board games, pickleball, mountain biking, boating, camping, hiking, beach days, and exploring the world with their family.

Their strong testimony of the blessings of the temple and the power of covenants to bind us to the Lord Jesus Christ inspired them to create a nonprofit dedicated to helping others access the blessings of the temple and being bound to the Savior. During a side-by-side trip to Toquerville Falls and in an inspired tender mercy of the Lord, they discovered that their close friends, Matt and Julie Mizukawa, were contemplating the same vision. The idea for Temple Bound Saints was born.

Ken and Emily are passionate about making the blessings of the temple accessible to all, and they are grateful for the opportunity to serve others through this meaningful mission.

About Matt & Julie

Matt and Julie Mizukawa are deeply rooted in southern Utah, where they are raising their family and pursuing their shared passion for helping others experience the blessings of the temple.

Dr. Matt Mizukawa was born in San Antonio, Texas, raised in Fort Washington, Maryland, and completed high school in St. George, Utah, which he proudly calls home. After serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fukuoka, Japan, Matt earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, followed by a residency at Vanderbilt University in 2011. He eventually returned to St. George, where he is now a partner at Dixie Oral Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery.

Julie Mizukawa grew up with a love for family and faith, which continues to shape her life. As the mother of seven children, she is devoted to creating a loving home and fostering meaningful connections within their family. She shares Matt’s passion for serving others and is an integral part of their efforts to strengthen individuals and families through temple blessings.

The Mizukawas enjoy spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, exploring the mountains, lakes, and canyons of southern Utah. Some of their fondest family memories include rock climbing, camping, biking, boating, and hiking across the country.

With a strong testimony of the temple and a desire to help others experience its blessings, Matt and Julie were inspired to take action. When they discovered that their close friends Ken and Emily Hendrickson shared the same vision, the two families joined forces to create Temple Bound Saints, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families access the temple.

The Mizukawas are grateful for the opportunity to combine their love for the gospel, family, and service through their work with Temple Bound Saints, making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
