From April 22–25, 2026, Temple Bound Saints marked a historic milestone as 11 faithful members from Suriname and Guyana traveled to the Belém Brazil Temple—our very first trip to this sacred house of the Lord.
For many in this group, the journey required significant effort, faith, and sacrifice. But what awaited them was something far greater: peace, joy, and a deeper connection to Heavenly Father.
A First-Time Experience
For several participants, this was their first time in the temple. One attendee shared:
“My first time being in the temple… I love the serenity. I love temples.”
That feeling of peace and sacred stillness was a common theme throughout the trip. From baptisms for the dead to quiet moments of reflection, each individual experienced the temple in a personal and powerful way.
Serving Others in the House of the Lord
Many of the group participated in ordinances on behalf of others, feeling the joy that comes from serving those who cannot do this work for themselves.
One participant expressed deep gratitude for this opportunity:
“I am very grateful that I was allowed to do this for the people… many of them will be happy.”
This work—performed with faith and love—connects generations and brings blessings that extend far beyond the temple walls.
Strengthened Faith and Lasting Impact
Another member reflected on how the experience impacted them personally:
“This temple helps us become better… and strengthens our connection with our Heavenly Father.”
These sacred experiences not only deepen individual testimonies but also strengthen entire communities of faith.
A Journey Worth Repeating
As the trip came to a close, one simple sentiment captured the feelings of many:
“It was a fantastic trip… I will surely come back.”
Looking Ahead
This first journey to the Belém Brazil Temple represents more than just a trip—it marks continued growth in Temple Bound’s mission to help members around the world reach the house of the Lord.
We are deeply grateful to all who made this experience possible and inspired by the faith of these incredible saints from Suriname and Guyana.
This is just the beginning.
