Berbice, Guyana to the Panama Temple — A Journey of Faith & Friendship
Our recent temple trip from Berbice, Guyana to the Panama Temple was nothing short of extraordinary. This group of 9 adults and 3 youth made the journey together, joined by Ken and Emily from Temple Bound, creating an experience filled with faith, growth, and lasting connection.
One of the most meaningful parts of this trip was supporting Roger and Patricia, who traveled to be sealed in the temple. This sacred milestone was a big reason Ken and Emily made the trip, and it was incredibly special to witness their joy and commitment as they took this eternal step together.
We were also grateful for time spent with Stephen and Cynthia Stewart. Stephen, who currently serves as Branch President, and Cynthia, who works closely with the youth, are doing an incredible work strengthening their local congregation.
Some of the most memorable moments came from time spent with the youth—Jamari, Suraj, and Mariyah—who we now consider lifelong friends. Each day, we participated in baptisms and confirmations together, and their enthusiasm and dedication were inspiring to witness.
Suraj, in particular, left a lasting impression. He completed an incredible 58 baptisms in a single day. When asked about his experience, he shared a powerful thought: “If I had a temple nearby, I would go every day.” That kind of faith is something we will never forget.
Another highlight of the trip was Martha receiving her endowment. Watching her take this important step and prepare for future missionary service was a beautiful reminder of the purpose behind these journeys.
From sacred ordinances to meaningful friendships, this trip was filled with moments that will stay with us forever. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve, to connect, and to witness the faith of such incredible people.
This was truly another amazing Temple Bound experience—and we are already looking forward to the next one.
