From October 6 to 9, 2026, a group of 15 Saints traveled from Vihiga to Nairobi for a temple trip. The group reported taking part in family history work and temple ordinances, including baptisms for others and for names of loved ones.
In the submitted account, participants described the endowment sessions as uplifting and said the prayers in the prayer circle touched them. Some members said the prayers gave them clarity about concerns they had been carrying. The contributor also reported that the group completed ordinances for close to 150 names, with a few exceptions.
One participant was baptized on behalf of the grandmother of a priesthood leader in the group. The contributor described that baptism as an emotional moment for the participant, who felt that his grandmother had accepted the ordinances performed on her behalf.
The group expressed gratitude for the opportunity to worship in the temple and hoped to have similar experiences in the future.
