20 Saints Travel by Bus from Mwanza to the Nairobi Kenya Temple

July 27–30, 2026

From July 27–30, 2026, 20 members from Mwanza, Tanzania, traveled by bus to the Nairobi Kenya Temple for several days of temple worship. Their journey across the border into Kenya represents the faith and sacrifice many Saints make for the opportunity to worship in the House of the Lord.

Among those who made the journey was Innocent Maela of Mwanza, who shared what being in the temple means to him:

“The temple is a sacred place where I feel the Lord’s love most deeply.”

He described the temple as a place of deliverance, covenant, repentance, revelation, and peace, and testified of the spiritual strength he receives there.

“Every time when I enter into the temple, I feel the inevitable peace… The temple occurs in my soul. It fills me with joy.”

For these 20 Saints, reaching the temple required a long bus journey from Tanzania to Kenya. Through the support of Temple Bound donors, they were able to make that journey and experience the peace, joy, and spiritual power of the House of the Lord.

Every temple trip changes more than one life—it strengthens families, wards, branches, and generations.
