61 Saints Travel Nine Hours to Worship at the Nairobi Kenya Temple
July 22–25, 2026
From July 22–25, 2026, 61 members traveled from Bungoma to the Nairobi Kenya Temple, making a journey of more than nine hours by bus for the opportunity to worship in the House of the Lord.
Led by Brother Matende, a District High Councilor, the group included members from the Ndivisi, Misikhu, Mautuma, and Bungoma Branches.
Their long journey is a powerful example of the faith and sacrifice of Saints who live many hours from a temple. With support from Temple Bound, these members were able to overcome the distance and travel costs to participate in sacred temple worship.
We are grateful to Brother Matende for leading this group and to the donors and supporters who helped make their journey possible.
Every temple trip changes more than one life—it strengthens families, wards, branches, and generations.
