From October 19 to 23, 2026, Saints from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, traveled to Nairobi, Kenya, for a temple trip. One contributor described the gathering as a chance for members from different wards and branches to meet and learn together. Several contributors shared personal reflections on worship and service in the temple, including performing proxy ordinances for ancestors and others’ ancestors. One first-time temple visitor also reflected on receiving the endowment and learning about the temple garment and covenants.
A contributor reported that the group participated in ordinances during three days at the temple. The submitted figures list 610 baptisms twice, 210 initiatories, 190 endowments, and 127 sealings for parents and spouses. The contributor also said some names collected from members in Dar es Salaam could not be completed during the visit, including names for initiatories, endowments, and sealings.
Contributors expressed gratitude for the opportunity to worship in the temple and described their experiences of service, learning, and spiritual reflection. One account said the group wished for more time to complete additional ordinance work.
