Faith Renewed Through Service at the Kinshasa Temple
From August 25–27, a group of 26 adults attended the Kinshasa Temple for a time of dedication, devotion, and service to the Lord. Participants committed to performing proxy ordinances for their ancestors and others whose names were available at the temple.
During the visit, the group completed:
-
38 baptisms
-
56 confirmations
-
43 endowments
-
8 sealings
For participant Theresia Pairlyne MENDZET-GNABANDZA, the blessings extended beyond those numbers. Sacred teachings and renewed promises drew the group closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Discussions and family gatherings in the temple garden and parking lot offered further opportunities to learn together, strengthen faith, and deepen testimonies of the temple.
“Our testimony of the temple grew stronger and more profound,” Theresia shared.
The group also expressed gratitude for the prospect of a temple being established and dedicated in their own country. “Together, we have fully felt God’s love and the blessing of going to His house,” she reflected.
The spiritual preparation received during the trip became especially meaningful for one brother. Upon returning home, he learned that his father had passed away. Theresia shared that his experience at the temple had prepared his heart to better understand the plan of salvation as he faced this loss.
For those who attended, these days at the Kinshasa Temple were a blessing—a time to serve, draw closer to God, and return home with renewed faith.
